Information You Enter
Search Terms
When you type a name, county, or location into a search tool, that query is sent to the third-party provider that operates the tool. This site does not keep its own log of those search terms.
Messages
If you send an email or contact message, the information in that message may be kept long enough to review it and respond. We do not share contact messages outside the organization unless disclosure is legally required.
Information Collected Automatically
Like most websites, this site may receive technical information when pages load. That can include:
- Your IP address.
- Browser name and version.
- Device type and operating system.
- Pages viewed and approximate time spent on pages.
- The referring website, when available.
- Date and time of the visit.
Cookies
Cookies and similar tools may be used to understand site usage and improve performance. You can block cookies through your browser settings, but some features may not behave the same way after cookies are disabled.
How Information Is Used
- To keep the site available, stable, and reasonably fast.
- To pass search requests to the correct partner service.
- To understand which San Augustine County pages are useful to visitors.
- To diagnose errors, broken links, and technical problems.
- To display advertising that may be based on general interests.
Links Away From This Site
This site links to sheriff and jail pages, court portals, TDCJ, Texas VINE, BOP, ICE, Texas Public Information Act materials, and third-party search services. When you leave this site, the privacy notice and terms of the destination site control that visit.
Official public-record requests to Texas agencies may be handled under the Texas Public Information Act, Texas Government Code Chapter 552. Advertising partners may also use their own systems to measure activity across websites for ad selection or reporting.

Security
We use reasonable security practices for a small public website, but no internet-connected service can be guaranteed breach-proof. You should avoid sending sensitive information unless it is necessary.
